BUIDLQuest, hosted at cursive.iyk.app, is a way for ETHDenver attendees to connect with each other, engage with sponsors, and unlock unique experiences by tapping NFC chips. You collect unique digital signatures from tapping people’s chipped badges to prove you met them, or from tapping chips around the venue to prove you’ve been to in-person events. If you satisfy the tap requirements of a quest, you can generate a ZK proof of completion to earn play $BUIDL and buy items at the BUIDL Store at the front of the ETHDenver venue.

At the registration desk, the first 18,500 attendees will receive an NFC badge which acts as your ticket around the venue. To join BUIDLQuest, tap your badge and register with the same email you used for your ETHDenver ticket.
When someone else taps their phone against your badge, they will be able to share their contact information with you. In addition, they will automatically send you a unique digital signature proving you met them. The other person will NOT receive your contact information unless you choose to tap their badge, or decide to tap them back virtually on cursive.iyk.app.
Beyond personal interactions, NFC chips will be dispersed around the venue and at certain sponsor booths. You can collect a unique digital signature from these chips to prove that you were there.
Sponsors of ETHDenver have set up quests to engage participants in an interactive, verifiable way, which you can find on the “Quests” tab. Each quest requires you to get signatures via taps from certain attendees or by tapping NFC chips at booths and events.
Upon collecting all signatures required in a quest, you can make a ZK proof that doesn’t reveal anything else about your interaction history except for the fact that you completed the quest! Once you submit a valid proof, we check that none of your signatures were used by other people and award you $BUIDL.
You can use your $BUIDL to purchase swag and other collectibles at the BUIDL Store, located centrally in the ETHDenver venue! You can view the price and prerequisite quests for items you want in the “Items” tab at cursive.iyk.app.
During registration, you get to choose whether your interaction data is custodied by the server with simple email code login or custodied locally with a password-encrypted backup. With the latter, the server never learns your data except for any quest completion proofs you choose to reveal!
Each signature you collect is visualized as a stamp, using a generative art algorithm from @stefan_contiero! These stamps are compiled into a single art piece representing your ETHDenver experience, which will be mintable as an NFT on @ArtBlocksEngine!
